Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Community Medicine

This three-year full-time residency master program is designed to equip MBBS students with wide spectrum of competencies and applied hard skills (viz., clinical, technical along-with leadership and management) and soft skills (communication, motivation, decision-making, team building etc.) for contributing meaningfully in planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of National Health Policies & Programmes. The program also aims to develop community physicians of highest calibre who have basic understanding of clinical practice, a thorough knowledge of epidemiological principles and methods, a familiarity with statistical methods, the relevant aspects of the social sciences and the principles of administration and management, and have the ability to apply this knowledge to the management of health services and the study of diseases.
Please note that the MD program in Community Medicine commences every year on 1st January and 1st July
