Representation of IPHMDP at the Chintan Shivir on Strengthening the ITEC Programme (25th July 2026)

A significant achievement during the  period was the representation of PGIMER, Chandigarh and the International Public Health Management Development Program (IPHMDP) by Prof. Sonu Goel, Program Director, at the Chintan Shivir on Strengthening the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme, held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi. The prestigious national forum, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, brought together senior government officials and key stakeholders to deliberate on strengthening India's global development partnerships through the ITEC framework. During the event, Prof. Goel showcased the remarkable journey and global impact of IPHMDP since its inception in 2016, highlighting its innovative pedagogy that integrates public health theory with experiential, practice-oriented learning. The program received special recognition for its contribution to global health leadership, having empowered 1,784 healthcare professionals from 97 countries. The Chintan Shivir also provided an important platform to engage with senior leadership of the Ministry of External Affairs and explore avenues for strengthening international collaborations and advancing capacity-building initiatives in public health.
